16Jimmy's Fifteen Minutes11"56'
Jimmy is eager to expose the horrors of a local Satanist ring, but the documentary maker loses faith in his subject.

Writer/director Carlo Ortu studied film at Bournemouth University and has worked on a number of commercial projects for the BBC and ITV, as well as directing a number of shorts with the film-making collective SugarSpun Pictures.

17The Two Minute Silence9"00'
During a two minute silence for an undisclosed tragedy, we enter the minds of ten office workers and find that their thoughts are not focussed on remembering the dead.

Writer Paul Laight has written several feature and short films, and has produced several in collaboration with director Gary O'Brien. Gary has directed a number of short films, as well as served as technical on a James Bond movie and on Oliver Stone's epic 'Alexander'.

18Unbelievably British12"50'
This short film weaves together the most clichˇd genres of contemporary British cinema - from eloquent drug addicts, to foppish men in love with strong American women, to working class heroes who find strength in the face of adversity by following some cross-gender specific calling.

Christopher Nicholson has been directing since 1990, and a writer/director since 2000. Unbelievably British was made as an artistic statement, calling for investors to support more innovative British screenwriting.

19A Group of Friends7"29'
He only had one wish in life: to belong to a group. He looks back on his live with amazement and sadness. Although he is still longing for the things that never came true, he wonders what the future may bring.

Film-maker Ruud Vrugt studied at the Arts Academy Gerrit Rietveld in Amsterdam, and now produces animations and live shorts.
20When We Were Heroes5"26'
Two old friends uncover a long-buried treasure, and set out on one last adventure before their childhoods fade forever.

Directed by Ben Morris, When We Were Heroes was produced over the course of two weeks during the Suited and Booted Summer School 2006.

21Coucou Clock3"00'
Everyday kitchen objects take on a life of their own, their principal entertainment a game of darts between the vase and the corkscrew. One day, a new participant arrives.

Based on an idea by 3D animator Fobis Audrey, the story took a year of collaboration with Cailleau Francois to complete and then a second year to animate.

22Fish Eye4"30'
A humorous semi-documentary about the loss of cultural heritage in contemporary Czechia, from the perspective of a character with everything to lose.

Film-maker Margot Buff is a journalist based in the Czech Republic.

23A Bout de Truffe14"50'
After years of searching, a struggling truffle hunter makes the discovery of a lifetime Š with devastating results on his relationship with his partner, lover and pig, Carinne.

A Bout de Truffe is writer/director Tom Tagholm's first fiction short, following his 2005 documentary Tarzan of Bounds Green.

24Missing4"45'
A woman exits a supermarket but something is missing. The search begins for her daughter. In four minutes and forty-five seconds we witness her journey of worry, anxiety and panic.

Writer and co-director Matthew Carter has extensive television and theatre experience, and has made several shorts with producer and co-director Douglas Pye.

25My Mum the Wrestler2"10'
Comedy about an eight-year-old girl's mother, who pursues her dream of becoming a wrestler.

Written, produced, directed and edited by Mark Withers, this film was produced on a £40 budget for costumes and ice-cream.

26Live Love Work Play4"00'
A stylish mix of live action and animation, we follow the story of a happy young man whose candy-striped life rapidly turns to sweet tragedy.

Live Love Work Play is director Thomas Atanazio's first short, based on a story by Winshluss. The music was provided by Tima and Puma Mimi.

27Man Seeks6"38'
Mocked by his pet cat and afflicted with a crisis of masculinity, Adam embarks on a journey into the world of online dating in the hope of finding true love.

This is the first animation by Garry Calderwood, a graphic designer from Glasgow with six years experience in the advertising industry.

28One of These Days I'm Going to Dress Up4"25'
A lonely man desperately tries to join a party, mysteriously hidden away in his flat.

Antonio Zucconi works as video editor in Firenze, while Micol Bolzonella works at the Astronomy Department of the University of Bologna. This is their first short together.

29When the Levee Breaks13"36'
Rehearsed in just two days, and filmed in a single steadicam shot, When the Levee Breaks follows a rock band on the verge of enormous success, on the even of what could be their greatest failure.

Writer & director Fergus March runs Jeamland Production, and has written and directed several short films, pop promos and adverts. He also edits regularly for ITV and plays in a band.
30Sand Dancer10"00'
A talented artist spends day after day creating vast and remarkable works of art he will never see, which are wiped away at the end of each day by the tide.

Documentary maker Valerie Reid is a successful independent film maker based in New Zealand.

31Compartment9"56'
As a train charges through dark suburbs on a stormy night, a troubled guard witnesses an incident forcing him into a tough dilemma.

Directed in Poland and the UK by Milan Babic, with a script by Darren Heath. This is Milan's first short after graduating from film school.
